Product description
HJ431 (Specific for Roll Structure Welding) is a fused high-Mn high-Si low-F flux with reddish-brown to pale yellow glassy particles (grain size: 18-40 mesh). AC/DC compatible with optimal performance under DC+ polarity. Delivers excellent slag removal and aesthetic bead formation.
Surfacing & Repair: Printing roller bases are typically steel. Post surface plating and engraving, a chromium coating is applied to enhance hardness. This process replaces traditional electroplating, significantly improving bonding strength (≥430 MPa).
Pre-Chromium Submerged Arc Repair: Before chromium plating, SAW repair ensures defect-free substrate surfaces (porosity <1.5%), guaranteeing uniform chromium deposition.
Roll Structure Welding: For circumferential joints between carbon steel shafts and low-alloy steel rollers, use H08MnA/SU26 wires to ensure low-temperature toughness and tensile strength.
Mechanical Performance of Deposit Metal (H08A/SU08A)
Tensile Strength MPa (N/mm²): 455
Yield Strength (MPa): 355
Elongation A (%): 28
Impact Energy (J): -20℃=72
Chemical Composition (%)
Precautions:
Guard against damp, subject to 250℃ for 2 hours before welding.
The welding area must be cleaned of rust, grease, moisture and impurities.
Reused flux must be sifted to remove dust/contaminants, then blended with 50% new flux before use.
